A Hidden Gem in Rupert's Oldest Hotel.

OV Burger Bar lives inside the Ocean View Hotel. A Prince Rupert landmark since 1910, a burger bar since 2023. Custom blended patties, never frozen, smashed on a hot griddle. Gravy from beef bones simmered for 24 hours. Fish caught locally right here in Rupert.

The Building

Built in 1910.

Built in 1910, the same year the Grand Trunk Pacific Railway arrived and put Prince Rupert on the map. Originally called the Knox Hotel, the building has stood for over 110 years. Locals shortened it to ‘the OV’ sometime in the 1970s, and it stuck.

Fun Fact: In 1913, the Ocean View was the first hotel in Prince Rupert with hot and cold water in every room. A pretty big deal at the time.
